CARE

One of the great things about choosing quality, precious metals is that caring for them is easy!

Unlike a lot of plated metals which tarnish easily, your STASH pieces will stand the test of time.
I ONLY use Sterling Silver, Solid Gold or Platinum- no plating, no filling, no hollowing out of metals, just pure and precious all the way through.

All of these metals age beautifully with the right care.

Sterling Silver can naturally oxidise and scratch a little over time, this is perfectly normal as it is a softer metal and it develops its own patina.

You can avoid tarnish by wearing your jewellery often.
The oils in your skin will “clean” the silver and keep it looking shiny.

When not being worn, Jewellery should be stored away from natural sunlight and heat, in a Jewellery box, airtight bag or a tarnish-resistant pouch.

Do not store your jewellery in the bathroom as it will cause oxidisation.

In order to care for STASH products, we recommend using a silver polishing cloth regularly to prevent the natural process of tarnishing. Clean your jewellery using lukewarm soapy water and a soft brush. We do not recommend the use of silver polish and silver dip as it may destroy the delicate oxidised details of your jewellery.

Avoid contact with harsh chemicals like bleach and strong cleaning products as they may cause a chemical reaction and blacken your jewellery - this includes swimming in Chlorine pools! I also would not recommend swimming in the ocean in your jewellery - whilst the salt water itself is not harmful, it is a common way to people to lose their jewellery!

Most importantly I would encourage you to embrace the natural wear and tear of your pieces over a long period of time, they become more and more uniquely yours with wear.
