“VANITAS” - A vanitas is a symbolic work of art showing the transience of life, the futility of pleasure, and the certainty of death.

This ring is based on one of my favourite VANITAS paintings by Philippe de Champaigne - painted in 1671.

The Tulip, Skull and Hourglass symbols represent the impermanence of Beauty, the passing of Time, and inevitability of Death.
